1) What is the objective of the game?

The objective is to survive to the end of each level. As the screen scrolls to the right, move the ship up and down to avoid contact with any black blocks. Use the laser to destroy stuff if you think it will help. Each moving object you hit with the laser will score points, the larger the more points awarded. Use points to upgrade to a better ship. Once a level has been completed the next one will be unlocked. Finish all 10 levels to complete the game. Good luck.

2) How do I move the ship up and down, and fire the laser?

To move the ship up and down touch the screen with your left hand thumb onto the left hand edge of the screen. The ship will then move up or down to the location where you pressed. To fire the laser, touch the screen on the right hand edge with your right thumb. The Hammerhead ship has two lasers, top and bottom, if you press above the ship the top laser will fire and if you press below the bottom laser will fire.

3) When is it a good idea to fire the laser and when is it best to hold fire?

Some levels require a lot of firing to clear the way and with others you need to sneak through just shooting moving targets to prevent them touching the scenery. Shooting moving objects also generates points for a better ship but best done in an open level with large targets. Some levels like the Cave and Underwater have scenery above and below you that once disturbed is almost impossible to escape, just shoot anything that will disturb the scenery.

4) What is the difference between the 3 ships?

The default ship is called the Hawk and is the most basic of the 3. With 1,000 points the Dart ship is available that is smaller than the Hawk and will fit through tight gaps. At 2,000 points the Hammerhead has two laser top and bottom and sometimes after a crash a mini ship may survive and continue.

5) How do I change ships?

At the start of a level if you have enough points press the back button to return to the menu and select the ship you want and restart the level.

6) Why can't I select a level or change ship?

All levels and ships are locked at the start of the game apart from level 1 and the Hawk ship. When a ship or level becomes unlocked the red padlock symbol will change colour from red to green and now can be selected. To unlock a level complete the one above, to unlock a ship gain 1,000 points for the Dart ship or 2,000 for the Hammerhead ship.

7) How do I reset the game back to the start?

In the top right hand corner there is a menu button made up of 3 dots. Select that menu and press the Reset Game option at the top to delete all data.

8) Why is it called Lobsters with lasers?

The Hammerhead ship looks a bit like a lobster and has two lasers, so hence Lobsters with Lasers. Bit tenuous but I like the name.

9) Will there be more levels?

Hopefully, depending on interest. I could make available the program I use to create levels and then users can make their own and maybe upload them for others to try.

10) Why create it in the first place?

Some people make match stick boats, enough said.

11) Is it really for free?
